Pole Barn Construction

Pole Barns are a great way to get utility space without spending a fortune.

Pole barns aren’t just for livestock & pets. The term really refers more to a style of construction than to specific uses. Common uses include storing landscaping & farming equipment, extra garage space, a workshop for metal or woodworking, and even adding an in-law suite.

Many people choose to build a pole barn where a combination of finished & conditioned space will complement a bare bones workshop and storage area. They can easily be insulated and wired and plumbed with all the modern conveniences of a home.

A common application is for sheltering a motor home when not in use. Horse owners will frequently build pole barns to house their equine friends, store hay, and provide an apartment for visitors.

One advantage of a pole barn is that it does not require a foundation, footers or concrete pad. Some customers will choose to lay concrete in select areas and leave a dirt or gravel floor in others. Pole barns can be much larger than manufactured sheds that are delivered.

Depending on your location, a pole barn may not require any permitting or inspections if it will not have any utilities run to it. And they show a significant cost savings when compared to traditional 2×4 construction techniques used for homes and small commercial buildings.

If you need some space separate from home for a noisy hobby, visiting relatives, extra storage, or just a place to tinker and relax, think about a pole barn. We can build one that is attractive and fits in with your location. The level of finish can vary to suit your particular needs as well.
